My story

Meet Tucker! This 1½-year-old tuxedo boy is a Velcro cat who always wants to stick by your side — from sleeping on your bed, to sitting on the counter while you get ready in the morning, to flopping at your feet wherever you move around the house. He's a gentle giant who does well with adults, children, and other cats. Tucker shows interest in other cats and runs to play at the sound of toy bells, felt balls, and wand toys. He likes to be held for short periods but will let you know when he's ready to be put down. He loves attention, especially chin scratches, and enjoys sitting near open windows (with screens) to feel the breeze and watch the birds outside. Tucker is still learning how to communicate his wants and has responded well to redirection when he uses gentle nibbles to express boredom or overstimulation. Food is his greatest motivator as he runs to the kitchen whenever it's meal time — and he'll assuredly locate any unattended food bags or boxes to stealthily attempt to sneak in a few extra bites. Tucker will make a great companion for any home and could be a good candidate for harness training and controlled outdoor adventures.
