My story

Did someone say handsome? Say no more, I'm your guy! Okay, but seriously - I am a bit of a looker with my shiny coat and golden brown eyes. I'm big, clumsy, and goofy in a way that is sure to make you smile. On top of that, I am the biggest sweetheart. I have been quickly picking up lots of new skills with my foster family and I take treats SO gently. I've been told I have heartworms, buuut I have also been told that a treatment plan is underway to get rid of them. And now that I have started treatment, there is no risk of pesky mosquitos passing on my heartworms. Plus, it will all be covered and taken care of even if you adopt me before the treatment is done. I rotate between being a couch potato and a puppy play machine. I am the embodiment of a wiggly butt, I can shake it like nobody's business. I like meeting new people, but I loooove being near MY people. If you give me love, I will be your velcro dog. Driving somewhere? I'll come too! Just make sure your floorboard is clear - that's my favorite spot. My favorite things are snoozing near my people, playing with toys, crunching on treats, and sniffing outside. I walk politely on a leash, but I tend to get overexcited and hyper-focused on cats if I see them. I came into the shelter with another dog, and I have remained a wiggly carefree pup when I've met other dogs. It doesn't even bother me when I hear them barking in the neighborhood. Since I need to stay calm and relaxed during my heartworm treatment, my mom has been doing lots and lots of training to keep me occupied. That means by the time you meet me, I will have graduated from Good Boy to Best Boy
