Mikayla

My story

Mikayla is a little under a year old and looking for her forever couch to lay on. Is that yours? Mikayla came to us from our local animal shelter after being overlooked for almost two months. The shelter staff and volunteers knew she was special and were just waiting for someone to say yes. Thankfully when we were volunteering we had a foster say yes! So we were able to bring her home that day. What we realized was Mikayla was a shy girl waiting to feel safe enough to give a whole lot of love. I'm sure after being left in a lot that is something that takes some reminding ya know. So far Mikayla loves her foster sibling, they play hard and sleep hard. She is working on potty training, has started sharing her cues, and goes out every 4-6 hours. She is working on crate training and settles down fairly quickly. If not, there's nothing a nice enrichment toy can't fix. You couldn't ask for more in a potential forever family member. Mikayla is currently being fostered in Chicago and is accepting applications anywhere within 3 hours of Chicago. If you are interested in being considered a forever home for her apply directly.
