My story

Our dog-cat, Tigger, is ready for his forever home! Tigger was born with his umbilical cords wrapped around his legs. This is a rare occurrence that happens in utero and sometimes the lack of circulation cuts off the leg. Thus was the case with Tigger. Tigger was adopted at 14 weeks old but recently came back to us because of pain associated with his leg and because the other cat in the home never really accepted him. The dogs were his buddies and playmates. He even wags his tail like a dog. Now that he is two years old, we could see the discomfort before the surgery. He would hold his leg up all the time, trying not to let it touch the floor. Our wonderful vet recommended leg amputation surgery and it was the right thing to do because Tigger is so much more comfortable and can even move easier. This guy is unstoppable! Tigger has an big personality. He is confident, intelligent and very self-aware. He is friendly, social, outgoing...He's always right there with you and wants to be involved in everything. He loves to cuddle and will give love bites. He's just very expressive. We are hoping for a cat-dad for him but he loves all people. He must be the only cat. He needs no special treatment and he won't have it. He can climb and do stairs. He's has been using three legs his whole life we just had to free him from the fourth.
