My story

Meet Admiral! This handsome fellow is ready to find a home of his own. Admiral is a lovable mixed breed, although we can't say for sure, we think he has the traits of a labrador and mastiff mix. With an estimated birthday of 5/25/2021 and weighing in around 60lbs, Admiral is one stunning young fella. He originally came to us as a scared ands skinny stray alongside a small group of other dogs, and we could tell immediately that this wonderful boy had taken it upon himself to be the "big brother" figure and make sure his family stayed safe. When our local Animal Control officer brought them in, he explained to us that Admiral had kept himself firmly positioned between any people who approached and his group of "little brothers" until he decided whether the person was safe to approach. We were sure to respect this handsome pup's program, and introduced ourselves to him before his friends, tasty snacks in hand. Although it was clear he was a bit aprehensive at first, Admiral quickly decided that we weren't so bad and started showering us with kisses and a wagging tail, happy that he and his brothers were in safe hands. Since then, Admiral has let himself relax and experience the joys of being a dog without responsibilty, and what a goofy fellow he is! Admiral likes to spend his afternoons trotting around our play yard and bathing himself in sunlight, and definitely thinks he's earned every yummy snack he can get. Admiral has yet to meet a person he didn't want to lean against and love on, and has the same attitude towards every dog we've ever introduced him to! Without the pressures of protecting his fellow pups from the unknowns of life as a stray, or having to worry where his next meal will be, Admiral is now one of the happiest dogs around and we're so excited for him to find a family that can give him all the love he's missed out on. Admiral is fully vetted and will be microchipped upon adoption. Have other dogs? Bring them with you for the required meet and greet.
