Although Paws Rescue League is primarily a dog rescue, from time to time we do take in cats! Meet Pepper, a gorgeous ~13 week old spayed female Ragdoll/siamese kitten! This blue eyed beauty was taken in from a backyard breeder in east TN when she was about 5 weeks old, along with her two siblings Salt and Sugar. All 3 of them had bad upper respiratory infections upon intake (common in young kittens). They were treated with antibiotics, however their foster mom became concerned when they seemed to get worse instead of better. All 3 babies ended up being admitted for overnight care at the vet, but sadly Salt and Sugar did not make it Little miss Pepper is a survivor, she has fully recovered and is doing well! She is medically up to date and has tested negative for FeLV/FIV. She is now ready to head north and find her furever home! Pepper is expected to arrive in CT on 7/26 and we would LOVE for her to go straight to an adopter! Young kittens do best in pairs, and two kittens are actually LESS work than one, as they will entertain each other and are less likely to get into mischief! We will prioritize applicants who are looking to adopt 2 kittens, or who already have a young, friendly kitty at home. Click HERE for Adoption Application: pawsrescueleague.org/adopt Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding! ##2461886##
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Pepper, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
