My story

Meet Sasha!🌷Sasha is a young Mastiff mix who came to us as a stray. While we don't know much about her past, we've have been learning as much about her as we can! She's a sweet, playful dog who's shown she's very smart. She came in already knowing commands like "sit" and "down." She also loves to play fetch and will happily chase a ball and bring it right back to you.When she first arrived Sasha was a bit timid when meeting new people, but as she has settled in with us she has continued to get braver and more comfortable. A few tasty treats and some calm words go a long way to earning her friendship and her playful and affectionate side comes out quickly.She has a lot of energy and can be strong on the leash, so she'll do best with a family that's prepared to continue her training and give her regular exercise. She would do best in a home with no kids and with space for her to play and burn off her energy. Sasha has a lot of potential and is ready for a home where she can thrive.Do you think you could be Sasha's person? Here are some ways to find out:1.) Visit our centre to meet this pet during adoption viewings Friday to Wednesday noon to 3pm, learn more about their ideal match, and apply to adopt in person; or2.)Submit an online application adopt.spca.bc.ca and staff will contact the first suitable adopter to set-up a visit! Kindly note that due to the high number of applications and the availability of walk-in adoptions an online applicant would have to be available to come in for a meet within 24 hrs.*Side note: the more you add to your application about you and what you are looking for in a canine companion, the better we can match animals with adopters!
