Meet Francis – A Gentle Soul Ready to Learn What Home Feels LikeFrancis is a stunning 1-year-old female Husky with a story that tugs at the heart. Found caked in pluff mud and clearly having spent some time fending for herself, she was rescued by a kind-hearted Good Samaritan. Since then, she’s been slowly learning what it means to feel safe.This beautiful girl is still getting used to the indoors and can be very flighty and unsure around new people. She’s much more comfortable outside, where she feels more in control of her surroundings. It may take her a couple of weeks to warm up to you — but once she does, Francis becomes incredibly affectionate, offering sweet cuddles and happily flopping over for belly rubs.Francis gets along well with other dogs and would thrive in a home with a confident, social canine companion who can help show her the ropes. She’s got that classic Husky voice and isn’t afraid to let the world know when someone’s near her yard. Because of her breed instincts and timid nature, we’re ideally looking for a home with Husky experience — or at least someone patient and committed, with another friendly dog already in the home.Francis may have had a rough start, but she has so much love to give to the right person. If you`re ready to help her continue her journey toward trust and belonging, she just might be the perfect fit for you.Francis is currently located at our offsite location in Ravenel where she can have more room and a quieter place to adjust.
