My story

Say hello to Draco! This 117-pound black and brown powerhouse has a big personality and an even bigger heart! At 3 years old, Draco is a strong, friendly, and gentle companion who’s full of love and curiosity. Whether he`s greeting new people with a tail wag and a nudge for pets or happily trotting around with a toy in his mouth, Draco brings an easygoing and affectionate energy wherever he goes.Draco is housetrained, well-behaved, and does great when left alone—usually just settling in for a nap. He’s been described as super friendly and loves toys of all kinds.Draco may enjoy having a doggo friend in his new home! During a meet and greet with another shelter dog, Draco initially barked and jumped with excitement but quickly settled down, showing friendly body language and a willingness to engage in play. Be sure to bring your pup to the shelter for a visit with Draco to make sure they will be compatible canine companions!Draco would do best in a home with older children or adults who can provide him with daily structure, play, and plenty of affection. With his love of toys, his goofy charm, and his desire to be around people, Draco is ready to become someone’s loyal and loving best friend.This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!If you`d like to meet our available animals, please check the `shelter information` box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
