She was at the front, relaxed and affectionate, giving head bunts and enjoying petting all over. She enjoyed treats, but when she was picked up, she struggled somewhat, and when set back down, she was aroused and postured as if she might escalate-but didn't. She quickly recovered and resumed giving head bunts in exchange for petting.Mimi interacts with the assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for any level of adopter experience provided they are counseled on cats who might not enjoy being picked up.A volunteer writes: Our Mimi is a sweet and petite little girl, only around 2 years old. As soon as Mimi saw me unlocking her kennel, she quickly jumped down from her bed and strode confidently to the front. Mimi had very gentle body language and a loose body showing how relaxed she was as she lowered her head for pets, extended her neck and chin for scratches and purred at my touch. At one point, Mimi laid down on her side and it seemed she was starting to fall asleep. To me that showed that she was comfortable enough with me to make herself vulnerable.
