Meet Colt Meet Colt – A Survivor Looking for His True Forever ? This one is emotional for us. Colt isn’t just another dog in our care—he’s family. A GCAS alumni, Colt’s story began with heartbreak. In 2018, he was part of a cruelty case right here in our county. He was found by the Franklin Township Police Department and our Animal Control Team—starved, emaciated, just a bag of bones. But even then, Colt never gave up. He fought. He healed. And soon after, he was adopted into a loving home, finally able to be a dog again. Six years later… Colt is back. Through no fault of his own, Colt was surrendered. His previous owner is now battling back issues and could no longer care for him. Now 6 years old, Colt may have a little gray in his fur, but his spirit is just as strong as ever. He remembers the kindness shown to him years ago—and we know he deserves to feel that love again, permanently this time. ? Male / Neutered ? 51 lbs ? Dog & cat friendly ? Housebroken ? Being treated for a mild ear infection ? Loyal, gentle, soulful Colt has been through enough. He deserves to live out the rest of his life in peace, never having to enter a kennel again.
