My story

Sometimes, the best things come in pairs—and that’s absolutely the case with Cash and Emma. These two beautiful souls are looking for a special kind of home, one with patience, compassion, and a soft spot for dogs who’ve had a tougher road than most. Cash is a stunning 7-year-old blue merle Australian Shepherd with a bit of anxiety and is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm disease. For the next two months, he’ll need to keep his activity limited as he heals. But don’t let that discourage you—Cash is gentle, loyal, and clings tightly to the dog he trusts most in the world: Emma. Emma is his rock. She’s a wise and calm 9-year-old Border Collie mix who has been by Cash’s side through thick and thin. With her quiet presence and nurturing nature, she helps ground him when the world feels overwhelming. Though she’s older, Emma still has plenty of love to give and deserves a retirement full of peace, love, and comfy dog beds. Because of their bond, Cash and Emma must be adopted together. They’ve already lost so much in life—we won’t ask them to lose each other too. Both pups are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and current on vaccines and flea prevention. Cash’s heartworm treatment will be fully covered by the Angel Fund, and their combined adoption fee is just $100. All New Leash dogs are to be primarily indoor pets with supervised outdoor time only.
