My story

Malta is a calm, easygoing companion with a soft gaze and a gentle heart. He greets new friends with a slow tail wag and walks nicely on leash. Outside, he is relaxed and polite. He happily accepts pets and stays by his handler’s side. Malta enjoys carrying around squeaky toys and was happy to swap them out for treats. This mellow pup is an excellent mix of sweet and steady, and he's ready to find his best friend. Come meet him at ACCT Philly, open daily from 10 am to 6 pm BEHAVIOR 07/20/2025 volunteer notes: Kennel presentation: Malta was laying in his kennel when I approached. I called him and he slowly got up with a loose body, soft eyes, and a mid wagging tail. He allowed me to leash him with no issues and hopped out of his kennel. Leash: minimal pulling Handling: Overall, he walked well on leash and at times he would pull. He allowed all handling in the yard. He never jumped on me, he was calm in the yard with me. He allowed all handling and was very loose. Another dog came up to the fence and he and the other dog had an appropriate greeting. Both dogs were loose, sniffed each other and walked away. He seemed to enjoy squeaky toys and carry them around and would switch out for treats. Returning him to his kennel he walked great on leash and went right into his kennel with no issues. Toys: took possession Play: no interest Color: gold 07/20/2025 staff notes, playgroup: Gentle/dainty, decent greetings, was reactive at the fence towards incoming dogs to the yard.
