My story

Cash Smoney and Zeuz are a pair of sweet, high-energy siblings who arrived at the shelter through no fault of their own. Just young pups, they’ve already shown they’re friendly, playful, and eager to please. Both boys know a few basic commands like “sit” and “stay,” walk nicely on leash, and are mostly house trained. These brothers love people, enjoy playing with other dogs, and have a soft spot for people. They’re young and adaptable, ready to thrive with families who can give them the love, structure, and training all puppies need. He was jumping up on the door, wiggling all around. I opened the door slightly and very easily leashed him with a small loop so that I didn’t get his paws. Leash: On leash he’s a wiggly boy, he pulls minimally, and responds very well to leash pressure. He crouched down walking through kennel and I had to use leash pressure to coax him forward. Handling: He knows sit and takes treats extremely gently. With handling he is quite jumpy and loves to be in your arms. He chased toys and didn’t seem to fetch them back- most interested in me in the play yard. Medium energy in the play yard with some playing and some cuddling. Walks nicely going back inside the building. He pancakes quite a bit walking through the shelter and crouched down, overwhelmed by the noise. I ended up picking him up since it was taking a while to walk through- allowed me to pick him up with no issue. Color: Giving him gold due to some jumpiness and fear but overall really great with handling. 07/23/2025 volunteer notes: Cash was very cute and a full on puppy. We got to have him play with the dog he came in with, Zeus, and it was very cute to watch them play. Cash wasn't interested in much else besides playing / sniffing. He has some skin issues/ patchy fur all over his body but that doesn't seem to bother him at all.
