My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:I have lived with cats in my previous home.I'm an independent kitty who likes to do my own thing.I am finding the shelter a little overwhelming, but when it's just you and me and some peace and quiet you'll see what a love bug I am.I can be slow to adjust to new environments. I prefer to take things at my own pace.I would appreciate slow introductions to new people and places to help me feel safe.Precious was in the cubby at the front, looking sweet and appearing to be slightly shy, but is very gentle. She sniffed treats, and then, when approached, moved away slowly, but then enjoyed petting, leaning in for cheek rubs, and raising her rear with lower back petting. When the door was shut, she slowly walked onto the main shelf and did a little exploring, and then came back into the cubby. She was tolerant of a partial pick-up and remained calm when set back down.Precious interacts with the observer, solicits & appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for cat parents with either an average amount of cat experience or demonstrate a basic understanding of typical cat behavior.
