My story

Scooter and Fire are looking for new homes and they are currently located in Yuba City. Here is what their current owner has to say: "Scooter and Fire are 10 year old min-pin brothers. They are skittish at first but can be sweet boys once they warm up to you. Scooter loves to make laps around the living room with his “baby” in his mouth, and will occasionally play catch with you too. Fire is a bit more reserved and will sit nearby and watch. They love treats and cuddling up next to their human. They sleep in bed with my mom, but will also happily sleep on their own bed. They can be nervous around new people and can nip, but they have been around my 2 year old son with no issues, as long as they are supervised. Their original owner, a good friend of my mom, passed away in 2018, and my mom took them in. Since then, my mom has moved in with her mom to take care of her, but now my grandmother is moving to assisted living, therefore my mom is having to move to an apartment and can’t afford the pet rent they want to charge, as she is on disability herself. I’m hoping to find a home for them before my mom moves on 8/1. We don’t want to take them to the shelter if we can avoid it." These boys would benefit from a calm environment either as the only dogs in the home or with another low-energy dog. Ideally they would be adopted together as they have lived together as brothers their whole lives, but they would consider adopting separately with the right people.
