My story

Meet Margaret! She is such a sweet and loving dog! She soaks up human affection of any kind. When she first arrived here from Texas she made a point to go up to every human around to say hello. She even hugs! She does have a lot of energy and would benefit from a fenced yard, another doggie play pal or a family willing to take her to daycare during the day to let loose and burn some energy. She does jump but could easily correct that with training. Groomer had to shave her down due to the amount of knots Basics: She is a spayed female guessed to be around 1.5 yrs old and she weighs close to 40lbs. She is currently at one of our boarding and daycare partners in Lee's Summit, MO Adoption Process: - Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have our own facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or staying with boarding/daycare partners - Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, and microchip. -We do not place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports.
