My story

Meet Cleveland! He just arrived to us along with his brothers Clark and Calvin from one of our rescue partners in Texas. He is a sweet dog. He lets you pick him up and pet him. He loves playing with other dogs He was brought to our rescue partner in TX as a young puppy. so he is ready for a home of his own now Basics: He is a neutered male guessed to be around 7 months old and weighs close to 12lbs. He is currently in a foster home in Kansas City, MO with 5 other small dogs and a 7yr old boy Adoption Process: - Please fill out our adoption application: https://www.dayofthedogs.org/adoption-application - One of our team members will get back to you via phone. - Our dogs can be seen by appointment only. We do not have our own facility at this time. Dogs are in foster homes or staying with boarding/daycare partners - We are always in need of foster homes if you would be open to fostering please let us know! - Adoption fee helps to cover transport costs, spay/neuter, vaccines, rabies, fecal, initial worming, microchip, flea/tick and heartworm prevention. -We DO NOT place holds on our dogs. Please do not contact us until you are prepared to adopt. NOTE: We are very good about updating the pet's profiles once adopted. So no need to write us to ask "Is he/she still available?" If the post is up, the dog is still available. About Us: Day of the Dogs is a 501c3 nonprofit. Since 2015 we have been dedicated to helping shelters increase live release. We coordinate 2 - 4 transports per month from TX, OK and AR to NW Indiana/Chicagoland and the Greater Kansas City area. We do direct adoptions ourselves out of Kansas City and NW Indiana areas. We also partner with other rescues and shelters in IN, IL, KS and MO that are willing to help southern pets in need. We rely on donations to help fund our ongoing transports.
