My story

What my friends at ACC say about me:Sage is a very sweet and slightly shy cat, who was in the cubby with large pupils and who sniffed treats, but would not eat them and could not be coaxed out. He lip licked a bit and tolerated petting on the head and cheeks and along the back and with a little time, he seemed to warm up a bit and started to enjoy the attention. He sniffed catnip and seemed to appreciate it, and this may have helped him warm up petting. His pupils partly normalized, and he lifted his chin slightly for chin rubbing on remaining in place.Sage tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in fearful cat behavior.
