Great Dane | 3 years old I Male I 115 lbs Temperament: Sweet, timid, soft, gentle, and affectionate. Activity Level: moderate. Vetting: Vaccinated (dh2pp, rabies, lepto, bordetella), neutered, microchipped, dewormed, 4dx bloodwork - negative (heartworm disease - negative, tick related illness - negative), on flea/tick/heartworm prevention Housebroken: Yes, fully. Good with Dogs: Yes. Arlo is very good with other dogs - all sizes. Good with Cats: Cats have visited the home on 2 occasions with guests and Arlo was fine. He will chase stray cats off the property. We believe that if the cat is in the home and Arlo is properly introduced he will be fine based on his prior engagement/exposure. Good with other creatures: Arlo is great with chickens, ducks and rabbits. Good with Children: Arlo lives with toddlers and children- in fact his current mom runs an in-home daycare. He is sweet and gentle with children. It seems he keeps an eye on the child and looks out for them. Since Arlo’s nature is soft and gentle in general we feel that dog savvy respectful kid’s that have responsible parents whom teach appropriate boundaries would be an asset. Prey drive: No. Response to the outdoors: Arlo likes the outdoors. No issue with busy streets. Arlo likes his walks and enjoys being outside. He is not super active though. Crate-Trained: Yes, however he refuses to eat while in his crate. Resource guarding: None. Response to commands: Arlo has great recall, and will sit and stay, lay down, and respond to 'off'. Are they vocal: He has barked only a handful of times. He will howl with sirens. Leash Etiquette: Excellent. Meet Arlo: Your Future Best Friend! Arlo is a charming 3-year-old male Great Dane looking for his forever home! He’s fantastic with kids, loves playing with other dogs, and enjoys his daily walks, making him the perfect companion for family adventures. Arlo has great recall, is crate trained, and exhibits good leash manners. Arlo does hate the rain. This gentle giant is not only non-destructive and quiet but also adapts well to a variety of animals, including chickens, ducks, and even a rabbit! He shows curiosity towards cats but is not aggressive. Arlo's previous living situation included a lot of hustle and bustle, which has made him a bit protective at times, particularly around men in reflective clothing. His family believes he would thrive in a quieter environment, where he can feel more at ease. While Arlo loves the delivery men and enjoys the occasional cookie treat from their trucks, he would prefer a home without constant traffic and many visitors, providing him the perfect balance of security and relaxation.
