My story

This 7.5-pound, 11 month old powerhouse of sweetness is a Mini Poodle/Chihuahua mix with golden eyes, wavy brown fur, and big main character energy.Cocoa Chanel is a social butterfly who loves everyone—dogs, cats, kids, the vet, probably your mailman too. She’s got a playful streak but she also knows when it’s time to chill. She takes direction like a champ, responds to commands like “sit” and “enough,” and has mastered the art of crate living (though she’ll politely file a complaint if you’re home and she’s not part of the action). Her leash skills are a work in progress—let’s just say she’s still figuring out that walks aren’t a zigzag sport—but she’s eager to learn and full of potential. She’s mostly housebroken and will do her best to let you know when nature calls… but, hey, nobody’s perfect!Cocoa Chanel loves other pups (especially her 13 & 25 lb foster siblings), cuddles and lap time, sniffing every blade of grass, and tasty treats and dental sticks. She’s not a fan of loud noises, being left out of the fun, or awkward fashion choices (this girl has standards).If you’re looking for a pocket-sized bestie with a heart of gold and a sense of humor to match, Cocoa Chanel is your girl. The adoption fee is $350 and covers all expenses needed to prepare dogs like this one for their forever homes. By the time you meet them, they’ve already been spayed/neutered (if age-appropriate) and microchipped. They’ve been checked by a veterinarian and are up to date on necessary vaccinations, including Rabies and DHLPP. They have also been tested for heartworm and tick-borne diseases and have started heartworm and flea preventative medication. Some of our dogs have even undergone extensive medical care to ensure they’re ready for a happy, healthy life with you!
