My story

Salma is a 5month old lab/shepard mix in search of a loving home. She will probably grow to be about 70 lbs. Salma is a parvo survivor and she has had to fight in her recovery. Now that she’s healthy, her sassy and sweet personality is shining. She’s smart, curious and comes with the cutest wiggles when she’s excited. She is a sensitive soul and hyper aware of her environment, so her ideal people would also be patient with her as she learns about the world. A home with a gentle and respectful dog or no dogs would be best so she can get all of the attention. She loves to play with her 12 lb foster sister, although she’s still working on learning some social cues. She has been playful and a little bit sassy with other dogs at adoption events. Salmas favorite things are getting love from her people, toys, sitting and watching the world go by, and walks in nature. She has also loved every kid she has met so far and has been very gentle. Salma likes to snuggle next to someone with a toy to cuddle. Salma is protective and she wants to be close to her people but also has an independent side. She enjoys breaks from others to enjoy her own company while she plays with toys or chews on bones. She does amazing in a crate during breaks and overnight. She’s learning all of her manners on and off the leash. She still needs some redirection, but she responds quickly. She is doing well with potty training and hasn’t had an accident in a while.
