My story

Now’s the perfect time to adopt! I’m one of the lucky pets featured in Clear the Shelters 2025! My adoption fee is reduced by $50 through September 15! Current Location: Hanover, PA Meet Ms. Keane With her stunning white coat and graceful presence, Ms. Keane (affectionately called Honey) is a true beauty inside and out. Just 1 year old and 48 pounds, she curls up like a cloud and brings warmth and sweetness to every room. Energy and Personality Honey is mild-mannered, affectionate, and has a calm nature. She enjoys peaceful days with short walks, quiet time, and plenty of naps. She’s not the dog for someone who wants to run or take on the Appalachian Trail, but she’s a wonderful walking buddy and travel companion in the car. She can be barky, especially with neighbors or unexpected noises, and she also likes to make her voice known when people pass by. Training and Behavior Honey is house trained and has been doing beautifully when left out of the crate, even for longer stretches of time with no accidents and no destruction. The crate is not her favorite place, and she does best in a home where crating won’t be expected except in rare circumstances. She walks nicely on leash and is gaining confidence with each outing. Social Life She warms up slowly to new people and situations but is building her confidence every week. Honey is polite with other dogs and has done well in social settings once she has a little time to adjust. She is learning that socializing is a good thing, so prefers slow and calm introductions to dogs and small children. Quirks and Special Traits From her elegant way of curling up to her joyful bursts of zoomies, Honey has a unique mix of grace and playfulness. She’s vocal and expressive, and she loves to be included in daily life with her people. Best Home Fit Honey would thrive in a calm, loving home where she can continue to gain confidence at her own pace. She will do best with adopters who don’t rely on a crate, can manage her barkiness with patience, and appreciate her gentle, loyal nature. Veterinary Care Honey has visited the veterinarian for a health certificate, is up to date on vaccinations for her age, is spayed, and is microchipped. She is on heartworm preventative, flea and tick preventative, and has received worm and parasite treatments. Veterinary Care - Up to date on vaccinations - Spayed - Microchipped - On heartworm prevention - Flea/tick prevention - Dewormed

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Ms. Keane *Adoption Pending*, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
