My story

Meet Dorothy! Dororthy came to CCHS with her 3 sisters towards the middle of July from a local farm. This gorgeous Chow Chow mix is about 20 weeks old and weighs roughly 25.7lbs currently. Dorothy is a goofy gal with lots of love to share! She loves attention and is happy to trot along beside you wherever life takes you; she's just happy to be involved! Dorothy would benefit from a furever family familiar with the needs of Chow Chows, as they need regular grooming and a consistent training routine. While we aren't entirely certain what her exact breed makeup is, we can tell you she's 100% a total wigglebutt! Adoption applications can be filled out at CCHS or online through our website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. Applications are not first come, first served. All applications will be reviewed by the adoption committee and the home chosen will be the one considered to be the best match. All dogs and puppies have been vaccinated for Distemper and Bordetella, dewormed and microchipped. If old enough, they will be vaccinated for Rabies and blood tested for Heartworm, Lymes, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Dogs and puppies will be spayed or neutered before adoption.CCHS is proud to be a No-Kill Humane Society. As a private, non-profit charity, our work depends on donations and volunteers to keep going.
