Barney

My story

Barney is such a happy, friendly, and silly boy. His journey into rescue didn't start off so great, as he was left tied up at the shelter with his buddy, Fred. We'll never know why they were left but we do know that who left them, missed out on a couple of amazing dogs. Barney gets along with everyone and everything. He is just happy to be feeling good. He has been a trooper through multiple surgeries since arriving in rescue. Both of his ears were so badly infected and the ear canals were nearly closed from repeated infections. Both ear flaps were calcified with hematomas that were never addressed, resulting in both ear flaps and canals having to be removed. He doesn't hear well anymore but we know his ears are no longer causing him pain. We think having no ears makes him even cuter! Barney has also been neutered and he has had palate surgery to help him breathe better. We do not know his history with children and he has not been around cats. Barney is such an amazing dog... please consider giving him his forever home where he can be confident he'll never be left again.
