My story

Meet Sake! She’s the kind of dog that completely redefines what it means to be strong. At about 3 years old and 57 pounds, this stunning Kelpie/Lab mix (our best guess) is ready to find her forever home. She didn’t have a fair start to life. Someone dumped her in the desert as a puppy, and she had to fend for herself out there for 8 or 9 months. That story isn't shared to make people feel sorry for her - it’s shared because she’s a survivor. She came out of that experience strong, resilient, and incredibly ready to enjoy life. With some time, patience, and a lot of love in her foster home, she learned that humans aren't something to fear anymore. Once Sake chooses her person, she bonds incredibly hard. She is fiercely loyal and really just wants to be right next to her human at all times. Honestly, life is just better with Sake by your side. What she's like in a home: •She has perfect manners. She’s quiet, super obedient, housebroken, and crate trained. •She is a dream on a leash and is naturally very submissive and gentle. •She is absolutely fantastic with children. •She completely hates baths (everyone has their things!). •No cats for this girl. If there is another dog in the home, she’d do best with a calm, small-to-medium pup who just does their own thing. She needs a slow, patient introduction to new dogs, but she is completely worth it. Sake beat the odds out in the desert, and now she's just waiting for her person to find her. Morning coffee, neighborhood walks, and couch cuddles - everything is better with Sake. Want to meet her?
