My story

Hi! My name is Nancy and I am told I am indeed a beautiful lab mix girl. Right now I weigh ~49lb but I am food motivated so will enjoy all the treats and good food that you can give me! I especially like cheese! I am a calm, laidback girl and I am quite the sweetie, if I do say so myself. I came to PLR with three beautiful babies, who are now all up for adoption, so I am ready to leave the mom life behind and start enjoying all that life has to offer. I am still learning how to just be a dog, so I would love to have a family that will be patient with me and teach me about all the good things that are out there to discover. I do love all people…my foster parents have taken me on trips to breweries and Lowes (yes! I do ride well in the car), and I am happy to meet anyone with a friendly tail wag. I have met older children. I get along well with other dogs and would do ok as an only dog but also ok having another dog friend around, as long as they are mellow. I have met cats but not paid them much attention. I am not protective over food or toys. I am working on my crate training. I ALWAYS go potty outside! I even know how to ring the dog bells hanging on the back door. I love to go for walks and I walk well on a leash. I am sometimes a bit hesitant; there is a lot to see and sniff out there! I would really like it if someone would continue to work with me on being a good leash walker and I am still learning to “go potty” on a leash. I would also love for some to work with me on basic obedience in general. I am a smart girl, so you will find that I catch on quick! If you are looking for a friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, I’m your girl. I am ready to fill your life with love, loyalty and lots of cuddles.
