My story

Hendrix is a black and white male Pekingese/Chihuahua mix with a vibrant personality that channels the legendary energy of his namesake, Jimi Hendrix. His striking coat and lively eyes reflect his bold and adventurous spirit, always ready to explore new corners of the room or dive headfirst into a playful romp. Hendrix is a natural showman, full of curiosity and boundless energy, often surprising everyone with his clever antics and fearless attitude. Like the iconic guitarist, he’s a little wild, a little unpredictable, and absolutely unforgettable.But beneath all the rockstar flair, Hendrix has a sweet and loving nature that shines through in quiet moments. He’s happiest curled up after a busy day, soaking in the warmth and affection of those he trusts. His blend of high-energy playfulness and gentle devotion makes him a truly special companion—one who knows how to steal the spotlight but also how to be your calm and steady friend. Hendrix is a little whirlwind wrapped in fur, bringing rhythm, joy, and heart to every day.ADOPTION PACKAGEThank you for your interest in adopting your next pet from The Haven. Each dog adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, up-to-date vaccines, rabies vaccine and tag (age 3 months and up), microchip, deworming, flea/tick/heartworm preventative, a free starter bag of Hills Science Diet, and coupons from area businesses.Please make sure you review the following as part of the adoption process:· Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.· A current government-issued photo ID (no student IDs) - such as a driver`s license, state ID, passport, military ID, etc.· Have a Meet and Greet with the animal and our adoption coordinator (These can be a virtual Meet and Greet session due to COVID-19)· Adopters are responsible for bringing their own travel carrier with them when picking up their new pet.· The Haven accepts cash, check, debit/credit cards, or money orders.* For adopters of cats and dogs aged 6 months or less, or those with a medical condition preventing immediate spaying or neutering, The Haven requires a signed Spay/Neuter (S/N) Agreement and a $100 cash deposit, refundable upon completion of the spay/neuter procedure.
