This clever and athletic pup is looking for a calm, understanding home where he can feel safe and thrive. Bentley can be shy when it comes to new people or experiences and is a bit sensitive to certain types of handling-especially during vet visits-so he'll need a family who respects his boundaries and takes things at his pace. Bentley is potty trained, crate trained, and absolutely lives for car rides and going on runs. He already knows "sit" and "shake" and is eager to learn more with the right motivator (just don't ask him to share his food-he prefers to keep his meals to himself, thank you very much). Bentley enjoys the company of other dogs and loves to play, so a dog buddy could be a great fit! Because he can be an escape artist, Bentley will need a secure setup if left unattended. A home without young kids will suit him best, where he can decompress and build trust at his own pace. If you're looking for a loyal, active companion with a heart of gold and a little independent streak, Bentley Cheeks just might be your perfect match.
