My story

Not every pepper brings the heat—Poblano is more of a medium salsa: a little shy, a little unsure, but oh-so full of potential. This medium-haired orange boy with a pale chest patch is sweet at his core, even if he’s still figuring out that humans can be the good guys. He might hiss when he’s scared (it’s his tiny way of setting boundaries), but don’t take it personally—he’s all fluff and no fury. Unlike his brother Chile, Poblano won’t swat or throw sass your way. He’s far more likely to quietly vanish into a hiding spot until the coast feels clear. With patience, kindness, and a calm environment, we believe he’ll grow braver every day. He must be adopted with a feline friend—preferably a confident cat who can show him the ropes and help him see that the good life involves treats, naps, and people who love you.
