My story

Wonderful things can come in tiny packages, and Stella is proof! She’s just under 10lbs, and though she may have a little more growing to do, she is expected to be quite small when fully grown. Stella is a young dog who is full of curiosity! She may prefer to explore rather than play with toys or greet you right away. Stella’s family described her as “a really loving dog, she loves family members.” They also reported that Stella loves to take walks and is crate trained. Stella enjoys affection but is not fond of being touched near her neck. She would benefit from some basic obedience and potty training. Stella has no past experience living with children, other dogs, or cats, so we don’t know what she’d think about sharing a home with any of them, but you’re welcome to bring your whole family (dogs included! Please leave the cats at home) to meet Stella to ensure everyone approves of each other!This pet is eligible for an Adoption Audition! What is an Adoption Audition? It’s a 5-day, no-strings-attached, trial adoption period. You can take this pet home to try it out! Interested? Come to the shelter any time during open hours and talk to one of our Customer Care staff!Be sure to check the “shelter information” box on the listing to see if the pet is located at our Fairfax Campus (4500 West Ox Road, Fairfax) or our Lorton Campus (8875 Lorton Road, Lorton). Then, come in during our open hours!
