My story

Say hello to Cabybara! 58lbs, 6 month old charming male pup. Cabybara thrives on joy, especially when it involves People, toys or water! Whether he`s chasing stomping his paws in the pool squeezing the sqeaky toys or going on a walk or run through the park. Cabybara is also a world-class cuddler and loves to treat you with kisses. After a day of zoomies, he’ll curl up beside you and and make a himself at home on your lap. He’s great with other dogs, loves people, and has a gentle, goofy soul that turns every moment into a smile.If you’re an active family or someone who loves the outdoors and doesn`t mind a little wet dog fur here and there, Cabybara might be your perfect match. Come meet him and see if your hearts make waves together!Walk-ins are available from Tuesday to Friday from 1:00 PM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sundays have walk-in hours from noon to 4 PM. For information regarding the adoption process please visit our website or read the information below THANK YOU.ADOPTION PROCESS: If you are interested in adopting from Second ChanceSPCA, please come during open hours. Adopters will visit with an adoption counselor and complete a short application. Adopters must live within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and be at least 21 years old. Renters must provide proof of pet deposit and/or written permission by landlord to have a pet.ADOPTION FEES: Includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, fecal, and heartworm test (dogs) or FeLV/FIV test (cats). All cats and dogs are current on heartworm and flea preventative. $275 for puppies under 6 months of age and $225 for dogs older than 6 months. $175 for kittens under 6 months of age and $150 for cats older than 6 months.
