My story

Hi, it’s me, Rex! I’m still here, and luckily the kind man I was left with is holding onto me until a real foster or foster-to-adopt home can be found. I had a big scare recently when I broke out in bumps, and I had to go to the hospital. The doctors said it was either a bite or an allergic reaction. I’m on medication now and take it like a champ in pill pockets, but it means I can’t have any vaccines or extra treatments for another two weeks. I really need you. I’m about 5 months old, super friendly, and love to hop around and play. I’m still a puppy, so I can be a little mouthy, but I’m learning! I’m a total Velcro dog—I want to be with you everywhere you go, even if it’s just to the bathroom. I’m working hard on housetraining and crate training, and I’m making good progress. What’s sad is that I’m afraid of almost everything—loud noises, raised voices, even a hand lifted near me. In my short life, it’s clear I was abused and neglected. But despite all that, I’m still such a sweet boy. Once I know you’re safe, my little tail starts wiggling, and I’ll melt your heart. I’m being cared for now, but it’s only temporary.
