My story

Bennet is a striking, solid black Doodle with all the charm, intelligence, and affectionate personality that make this breed so beloved. Weighing in at about 45 pounds and estimated to be around 1 to 1.5 years old, Bennet is seeking applications for his forever home. Like many Doodles, Bennet is a people-loving pup with a gentle heart and a naturally social nature. He thrives on connection and affection, and he’s the kind of dog who wants to be where the action is—whether that’s cuddling on the couch, going for walks, going for a car ride, or just hanging out in the yard. He’s intelligent, eager to please, and quick to pick up on routines, especially when positive reinforcement is involved. This intelligent canine walks beautifully on leash, is house trained and is learing to be content in a crate. He whines for a few minutes but then settles down. He is great with dogs and lives with both small and medium size dogs. He is also learning about cats and is doing well while supervised with his new feline friends.  While Bennet previously lived in a home, he was allowed to roam freely for nearly a year before being impounded by animal control. When contacted, his previous owner chose not to reclaim him. Understandably, Bennet has developed a bit of a wanderer’s spirit. He will need a very secure fence and a vigilant owner who can keep a close eye on him, especially in the early days of adjustment. A home that will offer clear boundaries, consistency, and safety will be key to helping Bennet feel truly grounded. He’s likely to do best in a home where he’s not left alone for long stretches and where he can be both mentally and physically engaged. Whether you're a fan of long walks, hikes, or simply enjoy the company of a bright and loving companion, Bennet could be your perfect match. This loyal, soulful boy is ready to leave his past behind and bond deeply with a person or family who sees all his potential. One other important thing to consider is that Bennett is a non-shedding breed which is wonderful, but this does NOT mean hypoallergenic! ALL dogs create allergens and affect those who react to canine dander. Because Bennet does not shed and has a lovely poodle type coat, he will require regular trips to a groomer, which is an added financial and time investment that his family will have to be able to undertake.  If you would like to adopt, please complete an application at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $500 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2475765##

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Bennet, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
