My story

Viewable in Shelter: No, currently in staff-only area. If Petra sounds like a good fit, please submit an application for a chance to meet in person.Meet Petra!Petra is a senior cat with hyperthyroid looking for a quiet, comfortable home where she can spend her later years with someone who appreciates the calm nature of older cats. She is friendly, gentle, and enjoys being around people. While she's not very active anymore, she loves a warm spot to nap and a calm hand to pet her.Petra is easy to be around and doesn't ask for much -- just a soft bed, regular meals, and a little attention. Although overall friendly, Petra does have a sassy side (petting sessions may come with the occasional love-bite), so we recommend an adopter who's well versed in cat body language. She may also require more regular vet checkups due to her age.Petra would do best in a peaceful home, either with other quiet pets or as the only animal.Adopting Petra means giving her a safe and loving space to relax and feel cared for. In return, she'll bring calm, companionship, and a little bit of spice, to your home.***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Petra's person? Apply today!TIP: We encourage all applicants to write a little bit about themselves when prompted. Leaving these questions empty inhibits our ability to make the best match possible, and effects the likelihood of receiving a call back.https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/The Victoria Center is open for in-person adoption viewings Tuesday through Sunday, 12pm to 4pm, staff and animal well-being permitting. Some animals may not be viewable due to limited shelter space, medical and behavioral reasons, or other contributing factors. Kitten and puppy meet and greets are by application only. Phone inquires and emails regarding the status of your application cannot always be prioritized. Primary Color: Tortoiseshell Weight: 5.81 Age: 17yrs 0mths 2wks

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Petra, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
