My story

Meet Katniss — Belly rubs? She melts. Treats? She’s tippy-tappy excited. Love? She has endless amounts to give. Katniss is a 5-year-old, 53 lb Staffie mix who was saved from BARC’s euth list, and now she’s ready for her forever home. She’s friendly with everyone and is SO incredibly sweet!  She already knows “sit” (and nails it every time), is highly treat-motivated, and is leash trained—though she’s been working on her pulling at times when she sees something/someone she wants to say hi to! Fostered with little dogs, she’s gentle, loving, and so full of joy. from a shelter volunteer— “I loooove her!  I knew I had to come and get her posted asap because she’s amazing. This happy girl is pure love, I swear. She dove into my lap and flipped upside down for allll the belly rubs. She’s a great listener and has a perfect good girl sit. I called her to come put her front paws up on my legs and she did exactly what I asked. Then we exchanged kisses and treats! She’s clearly been a mama and has some hanging teets. Her sweet demeanor is just heart warming. She’s a gem! I’d sit there all day rubbing her belly if I could! This girl needs out now.
