Whitney’s story isn’t a simple one, but the best ones rarely are. Whitney was adopted and has found her way back to us. Transitions can be especially hard for dogs who are still learning how to feel safe in the world, and for Whitney, that uncertainty shows up as reactivity. At her core, she’s a dog who lacks confidence, and when things feel overwhelming or unfamiliar, she does her best to cope the only way she knows how. Since returning, we’ve seen a softer side of Whitney re-emerge. In environments where she feels less pressure, her reactivity is more manageable, and glimpses of who she truly is shine through a dog who wants to trust, who wants to connect, and who is trying. Whitney forms deep bonds with her people, and with that bond can come a stronger need to feel secure and understood. She’ll need a family that recognizes this not as a flaw, but as an opportunity. With patience, structure, and guidance, Whitney has the potential to grow into an incredibly loyal and devoted companion. She’s also a high-energy girl who will thrive with both physical activity and mental enrichment. A quieter, low-key home will help her feel grounded while she builds confidence at her own pace. Whitney is not defined by her challenges. She’s defined by her resilience, her capacity to love, and the potential she holds in the right hands. 3159 Susquehanna Trail N York PA 17406 Kennel #:3537
