My story

Meet Newman! Tiny, handsome, and a bit of a rascal - what more could you want? This sweet, gentle little man arrived to Miri's like a whisper. His fur is the color of soft earth and faded rose. Two clouded blue eyes like pearls tucked in velvet. A mouth where years of neglect have stolen his teeth, and with them, most of his jaw’s strength. One small body carrying far too many quiet battles. Newman is delicate, but not fragile. He leans into your hand like it’s the first kindness he’s known in a long while. He eats slowly, each bite a careful victory. He listens for voices, for footsteps, for love coming near. And he loves curling up in cozy spots - the smaller the better. We strongly suspect that Newman is part ferret. The second we pick him up, he stretches out like a furry accordion, and he’s got this signature move where he wiggles just one arm out of his harness like he’s making a slow, dramatic jailbreak. We are feeding him, mending him, and promising him that his days will be gentle from here on out. Because dogs like Newman don’t ask for much ~ only to be safe, only to be loved.
