My story

WRANGLER is a red haired good ol' boy looking for a home. He's an easygoing senior basset hound/beatle mix, gentle and sweet with long ears and short legs. Wrangler hasn't had a great life, he's a little hand-shy but wants to be loved on. Wrangler is decidedly not an energetic boy, but he will trot after toys and really perks up if you have treats in your hand. Wrangler's eyes show his age, but his vision seems okay. He had a pretty extensive dental so his oral health is good. Wrangler's needs are simple -- soft toys, treats, regular meals, a comfy bed and plenty of pets. He's best suited to a home where he won't have to tolerate young intrusive dogs. He'd be find with another roommate-type dog. Are you ready to open your heart and home to a sweet senior? If you'd like to meet Wrangler, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Wrangler at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate. All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care.
