My story

Wagatha Christie was found abandoned in a Bakersfield field covered in long, dirty, and severely matted fur. She had been left to fend for herself for what must have been a very long time, struggling to survive in the sweltering summer heat. Her coat was so tangled and neglected that it was hard to see the sweet dog beneath. Thankfully, a kind rescuer discovered her, captured her, and immediately gave her the grooming and comfort she desperately needed. Despite everything she has been through, Wagatha has shown incredible resilience. Now, at 2 years old and 13 pounds, she is blossoming into a sweet and affectionate companion. She is friendly and easygoing, enjoying the company of both people and other dogs. She is still adjusting to her transition to Shelter Hope, and every day she is growing more and more confident. Wagatha Christie is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. She is ready to leave her difficult past behind and begin a new chapter in her forever family! —---- Looking to Adopt? Adoptions can happen quickly so be prepared for our call, only apply for dogs that every family member in the home wants, and wait to apply until you return from your vacation.
