My story

BUCKWHEAT is a gorgeous, fluffy charcoal and gray tabby male kitten with some white face markings. The largest of the kittens in his litter, Buckwheat may take a little time to settle into a new situation, but his loyalty and affection will be worth the short wait. He has a quiet voice and gentle manner. He will do well in a household that is patient with his more cautious nature, but he does warm up quickly to human affection and loves to be picked up and cuddled. Buckwheat rewards your pets and cuddles with a soft purr. He was found with his littermates in a barn in Pleasant Hill and was rescued by a kind cat lover. Buckwheat will benefit greatly from being adopted with a kitten companion from his litter. BUCKWHEAT has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and is negative for FeLV and FIV. His adoption fee includes a free wellness visit with our vet partners.   You can meet BUCKWHEAT at the cattery inside our partner PetSmart in North Eugene (2847 Chad Dr, across from Costco).  Please submit an adoption application for consideration at CatRescues.org/Adopt or a paper copy available at the store, and an adoption counselor will contact you to set up a meet and greet.    The $175 adoption fee ($320 for two kittens) allows us to continue to provide care and find loving homes for abandoned and neglected cats in our Eugene/Springfield community.
