My story

Meet Plume – your future shadow, snuggle buddy, and soulful little companion. Plume is a 1-year-old, 8-pound calico beauty with striking green eyes and a soft, multicolored coat. Her story is one of quiet resilience—she was found abandoned in a park, bravely caring for her two kittens until Park Rangers brought her to safety. Now that her babies have been adopted, it’s Plume’s turn to be cherished. Despite her rough start, Plume is the definition of gentle and loving. She greets everyone with soft purrs, leans in for pets, and happily soaks up affection. Cuddly, intelligent, and friendly, she’s the kind of cat who will quietly curl up beside you while you work or binge your favorite show, perfectly content just being near her person. Plume is low-maintenance and easygoing. She’s vocal only when she needs something, but otherwise stays calm and quiet throughout the day. A little Churu and a cozy spot by your side are all it takes to make her happy. She currently lives with both cats and dogs, and with slow introductions, she coexists peacefully—though she mostly prefers the company of her human foster mom. While she hasn’t been around children yet, we believe she’d do well with respectful kids who understand cat body language. After raising her kittens with such devotion, Plume is ready to find a forever home where she can finally be the one who’s doted on. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available. Waggytail Rescue CANNOT guarantee the exact age of any adoptable cat, or final size of any of our adoptable kittens.
