My story

Meet Plume – your future shadow, snuggle buddy, and soulful little companion. Plume is a 1-year-old beauty who’s already been through more than most. She was found abandoned in a park, bravely caring for her two kittens until Park Rangers brought her to safety. Despite her tough start, Plume is the definition of gentle and loving. She’s not feral—she’s full of affection, greeting everyone with sweet purrs and leaning in for pets like it’s the best part of her day (because it is!). With striking green eyes and a unique, multicolored coat, Plume turns heads—but it’s her serene, soulful energy that truly steals hearts. She’s a mellow girl who doesn’t ask for much: a cozy spot beside you, a little Churu now and then, and the quiet joy of simply being near her person. Whether you’re working from home or binge-watching your favorite show, Plume will be right there, content just to share your space. If you’re looking for a calm, loving presence to complete your home, Plume is ready to fill that spot with purrs, warmth, and quiet companionship. She’s raised her babies—now it’s her turn to be doted on. Plume currently lives with dogs and would do fine in a home with other cats and dogs with proper introductions. She is mostly indifferent to her dog foster sibling and they coexist peacefully. She much prefers the company of her human foster mom. Although she hasn't been around kids we think she would do well with respectful children who will be able to pick up on cat body language cues. Vaccinated for FVRCP and rabies. Microchipped and FeLV / FIV negative.  To apply for Plume, visit our website (www.waggytailrescue.org) for an adoption application. We are currently unable to respond to general email inquiries as an all-volunteer run rescue. If the animal is on our website, they are still available.
