My story

Nestor and Ester are looking for their forever home… could they belong with you? Nestor and Ester are a bonded pair of 3 month old Domestic Shorthair kittens. Already spayed and neutered, both also have their first two FVRCP vaccines, have had a full course of dewormer, and are in excellent health. Both are litter trained, and have about as good of manners as you could hope for in a kitten. Nestor and Ester both do absolutely fabulously with people of all ages, other cats, and warm up quickly to friendly dogs. We rescued Nestor and Ester after encountering them at a farmers market where they were being given away for free, no questions asked. We don’t know much for sure about the first two months of their life, but suspect they are the survivors of a significant illness early in their life. They were 2 months old when we got them, but weighed less than a pound (less than half the weight they should have been) and Ester was suffering from an eye ulcer. Fortunately, they have done absolutely fantastic since coming to us, with Ester’s eye healing perfectly and both steadily gaining weight. They are now 100% healthy, with a clean bill of health from the vet, although they (especially Ester) will likely continue to be on the small side as adults. A puppy in disguise, Nestor, the tabby boy, is exceptionally gregarious and outgoing, always looking for more attention and never shy about pushing his way into your arms for a cuddle. Nestor has never met anyone he doesn’t love and is the sort of cat to come running to the door to greet you and your guests alike. Nestor has a big voice he isn’t afraid to use… he is fully of big purrs and meows. With the personality to match her delicate stature, Ester is always waiting at your side in hopes of a snuggle. Ester may be more willing to wait for attention, but don’t let that fool you… she positively adores people just is always ready for more love. Straying away from the stereotypical view of a cat, Ester adores belly rubs and giving out kisses. Like any kitten, Nestor and Ester both love to play, although they are definitely on the calm side for kittens. Both are gentle, well mannered, and easy to get along with, making them the perfect fit for a family or retiree, even if you are a first time cat owner. As they spend nearly every minute together, sleeping, playing, and eating side by side, they are looking for their forever home together. Their adoption fee is $200 for them both, which helps us cover some of their veterinary and other care, and, of course, goes 100% back into helping us save the next litter of kittens in need.

If you have any questions or would like to adopt Nestor, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
