My story

Meet Harmony Harmony is a sweet and tenderhearted little dog who is about 2 years old and weighs 13 pounds. She does have a warm-up period when meeting new people. Once she knows you will be kind to her, she loves to get attention and affection. She was a great mama to her 4 babies and to other puppies. She would do well in a home with puppies and any other dog. She is fostered with many dogs and gets along with them. She loves her toys and will run and play with them. She will be a little protective over high value items. She needs a fenced yard where she can safely, securely play. At first, you will need to spend time with her so she can get used to you. Once she knows your voice, you can harness her and take her for secure walks. She uses the bathroom outside and is also paper trained. Coming from the environment she was in previously, it is apparent that she wasn’t handled very much, so she just needs a few minutes to know that she is in a safe space. She gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She would do best in a calm and patient home without small children where she can get acclimated to her new surroundings and learn to trust. She likely will never be a Wal-Mart greeter type of dog. She loves her people once she is comfortable, but also likes her independence. She is a wonderful dog who just wants a family to call her own! Harmony is located in a foster home near San Antonio, Texas and is available for transport to Gettysburg, PA on August 23rd. She is spayed, up to date on all shots, microchipped and her adoption fee is $450. The fee includes the transport cost.
