My story

Meet Acropolis, a black and white domestic medium hair with a regal mane and a philosopher’s soul. Like the ancient citadel he’s named for, Acropolis prefers to observe from above—perched on a shelf or windowsill, quietly surveying his kingdom before deciding how (or if) he’d like to participate. He’s thoughtful, reserved, and never in a rush to leap before he’s looked. While he may not charge into new situations, Acropolis brings a quiet strength and noble presence to any room. Once he feels safe, you’ll see glimpses of his affectionate side—a soft head bump here, a gentle purr there, like whispered wisdom from an old stone wall. If you respect his pace and appreciate a cat with timeless charm and floofy grandeur, Acropolis is ready to be the centerpiece of your pantheon. Meet and greet/adoption appointments are highly recommended to ensure the animal you are interested in is currently at the shelter. Please call or e-mail the shelter to set up an appointment to meet and adopt! DON'T FORGET! Cats often do better with a friend! All our cats and kittens have an "Adopt one and the 2nd at half the adoption fee!" bonus!!! Our kitten/cat adoption fees vary on age, special needs, lonely heart status (cats that have been with us 6+ months), and for our senior to seniors program. Our adoption fees include the following: all of our cats/kittens are current on vaccinations (FVRCP series and Rabies if over 3 months of age) at the point of adoption, dewormed, tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV) and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV), treated for fleas/ticks/earmites in addition to being spayed or neutered once the cat reaches 2 lbs in weight. All cats and kittens adopted from the shelter are microchipped. Adoption fees may vary in special circumstances. Because we are on a busy street, we require that all cats leaving the shelter be in a carrier. All pets are up for adoption until an approved application is processed and their adoption fee is paid.
