My story

Well hey, y'all! It's me, Blaze, the zoomiest boy West of the Willamette! I'm so excited to be your next partner in crime. I came to Animal Aid after being an outside-only dog for most of my life. I spent a bit too much time as a traveler of the road and was picked up in Marion County. Since then, my awesome foster parents have been showing me the luxurious home life that I've dreamed of. I do great with small dogs and cats. In fact, my best friend used to be a cat! I'm also great with kids (even babies!). I'd love to have an animal companion in my forever family, but it may not be necessary. I really like playing tug and chasing balls. The biggest thing you need to know about me is that I can be quite the escape artist. My previous life of outdoor roaming has made me drawn to the 'go where the wind takes you' lifestyle. The reps at Animal Aid can help give you all the info you need to keep me secure while I decompress in a new home. If you have a yard, it will need to be fully enclosed. If not, I'll need to be in a secure harness and collar for all potty breaks. I'm also working on potty training, as indoor life is still new. That being said, I'm very friendly and love people. I may take some time to adjust to a new home, but I will still love hanging out with you and your family. I'm in a foster home, so please fill out an application at animalaidpdx.org to meet me. Est.
