My story

Meet Gracie Girl! This sweet, soulful pup was found as a stray alongside her brother and brought to the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, left unclaimed. While seemingly grateful to be safe, the loud, constant barking and high-stress environment were tough for this gentle girl. Growing puppies need lots of rest. Thankfully, Buffalo Underdogs Rescue stepped in, and she’s now thriving in a loving foster home! Gracie Girl is a 6-month-old tri-colored Bully mix with a heart as big as her floppy ears, matching her heart shaped nose Gracie has been learning all about home life—crate training, house training, and how to be the perfect snuggle buddy. This girl is an old soul in a puppy body—smart, calm, and responsive. She already knows commands like “sit” and “come,” and she responds to her name right away. At night, Gracie happily snuggles up next to her foster family and sleeps through until morning. She’s been a spoiled baby girl, deservingly so! Gracie absolutely adores people and would thrive with little kids and another resident pup within her fur-ever home.  Gracie has a big foster brother who she absolutely adores, and vice versa. She follows his lead, gets the zoomies together in their fenced-in yard, and plays hard—but always with love and of course puppy nibbles. Gracie is scrappy and spirited, yet incredibly affectionate and sweet. Gracie’s foster fam has 3 cats. She is very curious and learning to be cat-friendly without being too playful, but the kitties keep her in check.   Anyone would be lucky to welcome this special pup into their home.
