My story

I am at Oakland Animal Services in kennel Dog H:3Jerome – Polite, Playful, and Well-Mannered Jerome is a 6-year-old, 64-pound Bull Terrier mix with a calm presence and a playful streak. He’s the kind of companion who’s easy to enjoy—from his relaxed leash manners to his love for fetch and cuddles. Easy-going on leash: Jerome is a breeze to leash up and walking nicely by your side, making outings smooth and enjoyable. Polite and desires to connect: He greets people politely and naturally gravitates toward his human friends for affection and connection. Smart and motivated: This clever boy knows “sit,” “paw,” and “down,” takes treats gently, and is both toy- and food-motivated. He especially enjoys a good game of fetch—bringing the toy back and dropping it like a pro. Dog-social: Jerome enjoys playing with other dogs in well-matched doggie playgroups. Jerome would thrive in a home with appropriately matched dog companions or as a solo dog who gets to interact with friendly pups.
