My story

Meet Gizmo (“Gizzy”) – The Loyal Little Shadow🐾 Gizmo is a 2-year-old, 11-lb Terrier mix with a sweet heart and a soft spot for “his” person. This adorable, cuddly guy loves nothing more than being near his human—whether that means following you from room to room, lying quietly at your feet in his dog bed, or snuggling on the couch. Gizmo enjoys walks, exploring the yard, and spending time with other small dogs and car rides! He’s a bit particular about treats, but chicken-flavored Nudges are his favorite. Because Gizmo can be wary of strangers, he’ll need a patient adopter willing to give him time and space to warm up. Once he trusts you, though, you’ll have a loyal companion for life—devoted, affectionate, and eager to be by your side. Why You’ll Love Gizmo:

A calm environment with adults or older children who understand that Gizmo needs time to adjust. He would thrive with someone who can be his steady, loving presence. If you’re looking for a little shadow to share your days, Gizmo will happily follow you into your heart. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard. If you have any questions or to adopt a dog an application must submitted. Filling out this form does not obligate you to adopt, but gives us the information needed to make sure the pet is suited to your home.
