Meet Slacky! This guy would be a perfect low-key sidekick. At around 7½–8 years old, this compact, chunky little guy is living his best “retired” life—easygoing, affectionate, and wonderfully low-maintenance. He’s got a bit of a clunky charm that makes him all the more lovable, and his stunning blue eyes! Absolutely unforgettable. He’s the total package when it comes to manners: housetrained, crate trained, and a gentleman on leash. He enjoys relaxed walks but is happiest right where you are—curled up on the couch, soaking up snuggles and quiet time. A true couch potato, he’s all about cozy nights in and being your constant companion. And since he’s very food-motivated, he’s not only easy to bond with but also loves a good treat (or two). He’s looking for a calm, predictable home where he can fully relax and be himself. He forms a deep bond with his person and prefers to keep his circle small, so he’ll do best as the only pet in an adult-only home. A quieter household—ideally with just one person or a couple and minimal visitors—will help him feel safe and secure. He also appreciates having his own space and routine, especially when it comes to his meals and favorite spots, and he’ll thrive with someone who understands and respects that. In return, he’ll give you unwavering loyalty, endless cuddles, and the kind of companionship that only a mature, devoted dog can offer.
